Administrative Assistant

Salary: $17 - $20 per hour

What your future day will look like:

  • Work closely with several teams to help agents complete necessary requirements to become appointed to sell insurance products
  • Process paperwork, report, data collection and data entry
  • Answer phone calls and providing one-on-one assistance to agents and managers as needed
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails and other inquiries
  • Learn the contracting process for a specified list of carriers from our existing contracting team
  • Process agent requests for specific carriers, this may include emailing instructions or contracting links to agents, answering agent questions about how to complete the contracts, checking completed contracts for accuracy, sending reports to our agency partners or carriers
  • Perform data entry and maintain agent information database, attention to detail is crucial
  • Learn about the insurance industry and eventually be able to assist agents with questions about certification, education, compliance, and licensing
  • Processing email requests in a timely manner and determining the order of importance

To be a champion in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to determine which tasks should be prioritized
  • Proficient computer skills, this team uses Microsoft Excel/Word, Adobe, Google Suite (Docs, sheets), web-based carrier portals, web-based databases, and web-based research platforms, ability to work with these programs and the ability to learn new systems is a necessity
  • Willingness to assist other team members and accept new tasks as time permits
  • Ability to be on time to conference calls, meetings, and daily start time
  • Ability to think clearly and communicate in a timely manner
  • Well organized and able to make decisions, ask for help when needed, and follow through with tasks until completion
