What your future day will look like:
- Implement long-term packaging strategies aligned with brand goals and financial targets
- Lead and mentor an internal packaging team to drive innovation and best practices
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new opportunities that enhance cost savings, sustainability, and customer experience
- Oversee packaging design, testing, validation, and compliance to ensure functionality, safety, and quality
- Introduce new materials, processes, and technologies to support retail and e-commerce growth
- Maintain packaging specifications, standards, documentation, and approval workflows
- Partner with sourcing, suppliers (including qualification), and manufacturing teams to streamline packaging efficiency and reduce total landed cost
- Ensure all packaging meets required safety, regulatory, and retailer guidelines
- Support sustainability initiatives, track progress, and report on packaging-related sustainability KPIs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Supply Chain, Marketing, Logistics, Quality, and E-commerce teams

Type: Direct Hire
To be a champion in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field is preferred
- 6+ years of packaging experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in apparel, consumer goods, or children’s products is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, including paperboard, plastics, boxes, hangers, and sustainable alternatives
- Understanding of compliance requirements, safety standards, and major retailer packaging guidelines
- Familiarity with vendor management, qualification processes, and packaging testing
- Experience with sustainability practices such as recyclability and plastic reduction
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
