  • Our client is seeking a Production Manager for their Blacksburg, SC facility to oversee daily operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop frontline teams, and ensure departmental goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost are consistently achieved.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence.
What your future day will look like:
  • Lead day-to-day production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives are met
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and perform audits to ensure adherence to operating procedures and documentation requirements
  • Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Coordinate with supply chain and plant leadership to develop and adjust production schedules
  • Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, vacation scheduling, and payroll reviews
  • Conduct performance evaluations, training assessments, and employee development planning
  • Oversee departmental inventory control and cycle count activities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and overall plant performance
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts for production personnel
  • Promote compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards throughout the facility

Type: Direct Hire To be a champion in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required 
  • Proven leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing or chemical processing environment
  • Experience leading teams and driving operational improvements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to take initiative and perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and employee-development skills
