Spartanburg Business Development Specialist

What your future day will look like:
- Actively prospect within the Spartanburg market to generate new business opportunities aligned with target client profiles.
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline through outreach, networking, and strategic relationship development.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand client needs and position services effectively.
- Present solutions, prepare proposals, and guide prospects through the decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and pipeline movement within the CRM system.
- Support smooth transition of new clients while collaborating with leadership on complex opportunities.

To be a champion in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition roles
- Strong ability to prospect, build relationships, and generate new opportunities independently
- Confident presentation and communication skills with executive?level prospects
- Demonstrated success closing new business and meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Organized and disciplined approach to pipeline management and CRM usage
- Resilient, self-motivated mindset with a competitive drive to achieve results
- The ability to pass a background and credit check

A Greenville native, Cathy graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. Following college, she began her career with Babies "R" Us, where she held roles as an HR Assistant and later as an Assistant Inventory Control Manager. These positions helped her discover a passion for supporting others and contributing to their success, a passion that continues to drive her career today. Her primary recruiting focus includes banking, accounting, human resources, legal and administrative placements. For more than 26 years, Cathy has proudly been part of the Godshall team. She is grateful to work for an organization that genuinely cares about its employees, candidates, clients, and the community it serves. Outside the office, Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband and their two teenage sons, as well as their beloved pets: Beans, a blind Chiweenie, and Millie, a cuddly lap cat. In her free time, you'll often find her binge-watching the latest Netflix series or documentary, cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Riverside High School baseball, enjoying a girls' night out, sweating it out at Orange Theory, attending Clemson Football games or indulging in the guilty pleasure of a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
